About The Role

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £42,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Maintenance: Undertake routine PPM visits and reactive repairs to electrical service assets.
  • System Coverage: Maintain internal, external, and emergency lighting, plus distribution boards.
  • Inspections & Readings: Take regular meter readings and conduct daily/weekly inspections of plant rooms, switch rooms, roof areas, and car parks.
  • Safety Testing: Carry out weekly sprinkler system bell testing and ensure strict compliance with site procedures.
  • Site Care: Complete plant room status and cleanliness checks, alongside general building maintenance tasks.
  • Subcontractor Supervision: Accompany and supervise external subcontractors undertaking PPM and reactive works.
  • Digital Logging: Operate a tablet device with our CAFM system to log tasks in a timely manner.

 

Requirements

  • Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ Level II or III in Electrical Installations.
  • Regulations: 18th Edition (BS7671 / 2382) certification.
  • Sector Experience: Proven experience within the private Facilities Management sector.
  • Maintenance Skills: Strong background in PPM and reactive maintenance with solid knowledge of SFG20 specifications.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent customer communication, interpersonal skills, and highly organised.
  • Adaptability: Flexible to meet the active demands of a high-footfall retail and leisure environment.
  • Desirable: Inspection & Testing 2391-52 certification and shopping centre experience are highly advantageous.
