Mechanical Fitter, Location: Workshop & Site Based, Hours: 40 hours per week, Pay Rate: £19.05 per hour/£762 per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Workshop: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Site: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical plant and equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Install and commission new mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Work both within the workshop and at customer sites.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures.
• Complete job documentation accurately and maintain high-quality workmanship.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical engineering role.
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
